Ice Cream Party August

Newsletter
We can always depend on hot
weather in July. This year will be no exception to that fact. It has
become increasingly harder to get out and perform menial tasks such as
buying groceries. The heat is so intense that you almost get sick. A
warning to all of us to stay hydrated and as near to air conditioning as
possible. How much longer until January?
Bell County offers many
opportunities to celebrate the birthday of our country. I hope that each
of you will be able to participate in some of the events. The fireworks
are my favorite. Celebrations around our country will be televised and
you can enjoy those in the comfort of your own home. I'm finding those
to be very enjoyable.
Mark your calendars for
August 27th at 6:30 p.m. for our ice cream party. It will be held at the
Harris Center in Belton. There will be a cash prize drawing worth
$100.00. You must be present to win. If you are single you can bring a
guest, however only Spirit Club members are eligible for the drawing. If
you can come please give KoSheryl a call at the bank (939-3701) for your
RSVP.
Scams have again made the
Temple paper. I hope all of you read the recent article. It's the same
game from Canada telling you that you have won a lottery. Remember if
it's too good to be true, then it is. If you keep that in mind it will
save you a lot of trouble.
In
closing, "Friends multiply joys and divide sorrows"
Sincerely,
Claudia Bell Spirit Club Director
